Daniel Herbert

UESCA CERTIFIED RUNNING COACH

Daniel is a UESCA certified running coach with head coaching experience in HS Cross Country and Track and Field, specializing in race-specific programming and mindset training. He has helped adult athletes prepare for half-marathons, marathons, 50Ks, 24 hour and Backyard format ultra marathons on both road and trail. He brings with him over 20 years of competitive running experience as a Kansas 6A state champion in the 800m, 1600m school record holder, Northern Sun All-Conference athlete in the outdoor 800m, along with a 1:20 Half Marathon PB and 35:38 10K PB. He continues to compete in road, trail, and Ultra formats. He believes in coaching athletes through a process-oriented philosophy focused on joy and longevity in the sport.

Kevin Johnston

Bachelors of Exercise Science - Certified Personal Trainer

Kevin is an experienced running coach with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, specializing in strength conditioning and injury prevention, as well as XC and T&F performance. He is the current Head Cross Country Coach at the 5A Maize South High School in Kansas. Kevin has coached athletes to multiple state championship appearances and state medals while also training high caliber marathon and ultra endurance athletes. A competitive runner for over twenty years, Kevin brings first hand experience with personal bests of 17:20 in the 5K, 39:05 in the 10K, 1:29 in the 1/2 marathon, and 3:20 in the marathon, plus ultra marathon experience, including in the 24 Hour and 48 hour race formats, As a Christian Kevin uses running to glorify God and serve others.
